The MCCE held its 13th MCCE LOGFAS Battle Staff Training (LOGFAS BST) in the “School Zuid” training facility of the Oirschot Army Barracks from 04-15 March 2024.
The LOGFAS BST is non-certified, but it is different from other courses, because the Battle Staff Training is scenario based – it covers all activities in LOGFAS necessary to create strategic deployment and redeployment plans using the different LOGFAS tools.
The BST helps the trained LOGFAS user to refresh their knowledge and prepare for specific tasks, bridging the gap between theoretical course knowledge and practical use.
The LOGFAS BST takes for two weeks. In the first week the students get an update on LOGFAS and become familiar again with the handling and processes, and during the second week the students perform as desk officers in scenarios under guidance and supervision of the instructor.
The students are challenged to take decisions, report about changes in the movement plans, program plan changes in the different LOGFAS modules, and finally update the higher commander on the current situation.
Six students from Latvia, Lithuania, Italy, and United Kingdom attended this LOGFAS BST session.
This was the fifth MCCE training session provided in 2024, part of the full series of modules to educate students from our Participant Nations.
