The 47th IST Ops Meeting and 74th SCC Meeting were held in Riga, Latvia, from 10-13 June, 2024.
Nineteen of the 30 MCCE member nations participated, with a total of 53 representatives in attendance.
Participants discussed possibilities and challenges related to inland surface and sea transportation.
Representatives from organizations such as the International Donor Coordination Centre (IDCC), NATO Force Integration Unit (NFIU) Poland, Latvian Railways, and Lithuanian Railways presented their procedures, challenges, and potential cooperation with the MCCE community.
Furthermore, the Latvian MoD and BIMCO gave presentations.
Networking and discussions during breaks and free time facilitated multinational coordination, highlighting the importance of in-person gatherings.
These interactions proved invaluable, generating new cooperations and initiatives that can’t be replicated virtually.
