34th AAR OPS Meeting – Hamburg, DEU

MCCE Air to Air Refueling Cell would like to invite you to the 34th AAR Ops Meeting in Hamburg, Germany, 16– 17 March 2026. Meeting will be held in the IntercityHotel Hamburg following the agenda below :

• 16 Mar. : Icebreaker (at 18:30)
• 17 Nov. : Full day of meeting with hosted lunch
• 17 Nov. : Non-hosted dinner

Registration should be done NLT 27 FEB / Room allotment available till 03 FEB

 

Meeting objectives

Besides the great opportunity to discuss improvements and ways ahead about increasing cooperation and providing mutual benefits to member nations, MCCE would like to introduce a new project called “Increasing and strenghtening AAR training in Europe”. In 2026, we have several opportunities to extend the AAR training network as more tankers’ offer should be available whilst several countries are increasing and modernising their fighters’ fleet with an need of more AAR training. The goal of this project is to gather during the MCCE meeting relevant people around the table to build a network of regular opportunities for AAR training. This should increase in the coming months the number of opportunities for fighters to train on different tankers.

Other meeting objectives are:

• Build confidence and working relations among AAR planners from Participating Nations and the MCCE
• Give an update of AAR cooperation as seen by the MCCE
• Describe and discuss AAR planning/coordination problems and debate practical issues
• ATARES/ANAIS update
• Organisations and National updates.

34th AAR OPS Meeting – Proposed Agenda

Please kindly note that the uploaded programme is only a draft and might be subject to change. Speakers/National Representative are kindly asked to provide a presentation on their national updates, AAR plans, contracts, procedures and projects or any other AAR topics of the interest of the AAR community. Conference Venue

The meetings will take place at the IntercityHotel Hamburg-Barmbek located at Fuhlsbüttler Str. 101, Hamburg. Access from airport or downtown is easy and free with the hotel pass (see details into transportation). Coffee, snacks, water will be provided during the meeting. Lunch is also included.

There is pre-arranged accommodation for this event from 16-18 MAR (single room for 132 euros per night, breakfast included, incl. tax) until 03 FEB 2026 (cancellation possible 7 days after booking at no cost). If you want to use this possibility, please call the hotel and inform about this call-in allotment for MCCE meeting.

 

Social events

An Icebreaker will take place before the meeting, hosted by MCCE, in the evening of the 16 March at 18:30 at T.R.U.D.E. Hamburg (walking distance to the Intercity Hotel). Registration for the icebreaker is requested in the registration form.

A dinner is organized on own expenses the 17 of March at 18:00 at Hofbräu Wirtshaus Speersort (easy to reach with public transportation). Registration for the dinner is requested in the registration form.

 

Admin

To organise the meetings, the Event Manager system will be used. Conference fees  for the meeting is estimated 95e. Conference fees to be collected at the beginning of the meeting by cash.

Transportation

Transportation to the conference venue to and from the airport, is your individual responsibility. From airport, bus/train/taxi are available to join the venue (15 to 25mn). By registering yourself to H Rewards membership and booking a room in the Intercityhotel, you will receive a freecity ticket to use public transportation for free for your entire stay.
