Air-to-Air Refuelling (AAR) is a force enabler and enhancer that facilitates a rapid response and extended time for Airborne Operations for a wide variety of Military Airborne Assets.
It’s also a way to improve range of missions by reducing the numbers of aircraft needed to complete a given mission.
Such an ability therefore confers very great advantages both tactically and strategically.
Nowadays all nations are aware AAR is critical to both successful deployment and operations, which is why the number of tankers is growing up and fleets are being upgraded and modernised.
Planning and executing such missions are time consuming and expensive.
This is why the AAR cell coordinates related activity among MCCE member nations. Its main goal is to find support for every national AAR request and connect receivers and providers for AAR training, long-range deployment operations and participation in major exercises.
Air to Air Refuelling is also focuses on optimizing and improving effectiveness and efficiency of national assets by developing member’s interoperability and capabilities.
With its dedicated action in coordinating various type of missions, MCCE helps nations maintaining their own AAR capabilities and keeping pilots qualified and well trained for AAR.
