On 17–18 March 2026, the Movement Coordination Centre Europe (MCCE) organised the National Movement Coordination Centre (NMCC) Commanders Forum at its base in Eindhoven.
In addition to representatives from the NMCC of 21 participating nations, the forum welcomed delegates from international organizations such as NATO and the European Union. Participants also included representatives from key agencies, including the European Air Transport Command, the Strategic Airlift Coordination Cell, and the Netherlands German Military Office. Additional guest speakers contributed valuable insights, including an associate professor from the Royal Danish Defence College, who delivered a briefing on strategic movements in the Arctic.
This comprehensive and inclusive approach proved highly valuable, as it enabled participants to address shared challenges in movement and transportation from multiple perspectives. Key topics included Military Mobility Areas, deployments across Europe, and a wide range of NMCC responsibilities.
The forum’s primary objective—“bringing together commanders and partners to share experiences and strengthen collaboration,” as highlighted by the MCCE Director during the welcome speech—was fully achieved.
Participants expressed a strong desire to maintain and even expand the frequency of such events. MCCE looks forward to continuing its efforts to enable multinational movement by connecting people and capabilities.
