During the spring of 2026, MCCE identified a number of initiatives aimed at further strengthening the organisation and enhancing the services provided to its member nations. These initiatives have now been consolidated into the FORWARD Programme, comprising 14 individual projects.
On 1 July, the Director of MCCE officially launched the FORWARD Programme by bringing together key members of the staff for the programme’s formal kick-off. The event marked the beginning of a coordinated effort to plan, manage and deliver the projects under a single programme framework.
The day combined informative presentations with interactive discussions. Following the Director’s opening remarks, participants received an introduction to programme and project management principles before being briefed on each of the 14 projects. This provided everyone with a clear understanding of the programme’s objectives, governance and expected outcomes.
The kick-off proved to be a valuable opportunity to align the project teams and establish a shared vision for the work ahead. With the FORWARD Programme now underway, MCCE is moving confidently into the implementation phase, focusing on delivering tangible results that will strengthen the organisation and further improve support to its member nations.
