The 46th IST Ops Meeting and 73rd SCC Meeting took place in Luxembourg from February 26, 2024, until March 1, 2024.
18 out of 30 MCCE PN representatives participated, representing their respective nations.
During the meetings, discussions focused on national challenges and lessons related to inland surface and sea transportation.
Attendees also received updates from various organizations, including the Multinational Medical Coordination Centre-Europe (MMCCE), the NATO Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA), the Joint Enabling and Support Command (JSEC), and a representative from the PESCO-Project Network of LogHubs in Europe and Support to Operations.
These presentations covered current projects, challenges, and future activities.
Participants actively engaged during the meetings, networking during breaks, and social events, providing valuable insights and perspectives.
The results of the 46th IST Ops Meeting and 73rd SCC meeting underscore the importance of in-person gatherings.
These face-to-face interactions fostered stronger relationships, facilitated open discussions, completing requests and offers, and allowed for the exchange of ideas beyond what can be achieved through virtual communication alone.
The meetings not only enhanced collaboration but also built trust and camaraderie among colleagues.
It’s a reminder that behind the roles and responsibilities lie real individuals with diverse perspectives and experiences.
As the saying goes, “A handshake is worth a thousand emails.”
Lastly, the MCCE IST and ST cells expressed their gratitude to Luxembourg for their excellent hosting and organization of the meetings.
