On 05 April, the MCCE staff welcomed a visit by the Deputy Director of the Multinational Medical Coordination Centre/ European Medical Command (MMCC/EMC).

The mission of the MMCC / EMC is to support the medical services of NATO and the EU.
They serve as a coordinator for operations and exercises, for tasks ranging from crisis management to national defence.
This includes strategic wounded evacuation/transport.
From the briefings and discussions that both organizations have learned that we face similar challenges in coordinating multinational support for operations and exercises.
The MCCE and MMCC agreed to exchange information on a regular basis, to deepen the relationship in areas of common interest.
