In a small ceremony, members from the MCCE family of Nations gathered in Eindhoven to raise the national flag and welcome Australia as the 29th member nation.
Lead Representative for Australia, Group Captain Alan Brown, presented the respective Notes of Accession to the MCCE Steering Board Chair, Brigadier General Patrick Mollet, and ATARES Chair, Colonel Gioacchino Cassarà.
The Australian flag now flies among the other national flags at the MCCE Headquarters in the Eindhoven Airbase, Netherlands.
The ceremony took place in conjunction with the 17th meeting of the MCCE Steering Board, 28 June 2023.
Participants discussed high-level direction for the MCCE in the next years, evaluated policy updates & amendments, and the approval of a new Steering Board Chair – Brigadier General Luc Girouard (CAN).
