The Hague (NLD), 23-26 September 2024
The 48th Inland Surface Transport Operations Meeting and the 75th Sea Transport Sealift Coordination Conference were held from 23 to 26 September 2024 at Frederikkazerne in The Hague. The event gathered 48 delegates from 25 nations, alongside key representatives from the National Defense Transportation Association (NDTA), the International Donation Coordination Center (IDCC), and the NATO Maritime Shipping Center.
The agenda addressed national challenges and shared lessons learned in harmonizing strategic inland surface and sea transport movements among MCCE Partner Nations. This alignment is crucial for streamlining and expediting strategic military logistics operations.
Briefings emphasized strengthening interoperability and included:
- Updates on operational and contract support from partner nations.
- Surface Exchange of Services (SEOS) working groups.
- Professional development sessions featuring executives from both public and private sectors.
Overall, the operations and coordination meetings provided valuable networking opportunities and fostered enhanced multinational cooperation among key stakeholders throughout Europe and North America.
