The 52nd IST and 79th ST OPS Meeting brought together 38 participants from 17 countries in Bucharest, Romania. The welcoming atmosphere encouraged open discussion throughout the programme, from formal briefings to conversations over coffee and lunch.
An icebreaker session opened the meeting and gave participants an opportunity to reconnect and meet new colleagues. That sense of community carried through the event, flanked by social activities and coffee breaks, providing further opportunities to exchange ideas and strengthen working relationships.
Guest speakers delivered briefings on inland surface and sea transport. Topics included an update from the Allied Movement Coordination Centre of the Joint Support and Enabling Command, NATO Support and Procurement Agency transport activities, the significance of the Port of Constanța, as well as modern transport technologies in military logistics.
Outside the conference room, participants had the opportunity, to explore the House of Parliament in Bucharest on a guided tour and to attend a reception, hosted by the Romanian Armed Forces.
Networking remains an important part of the IST & ST OPS Meeting, helping participants build connections and identify opportunities for cooperation. The next IST & ST OPS Meeting is scheduled to take place in Germany in April/May 2027.
Our sincere thanks go to the Romanian NMCC for its warm hospitality and excellent organisation.
